It seems the boy had a small rifle and want to take it into the woods with him, which his father would not allow, it being the Sabbath.\u00a0 Whether this was cause is unknown and probably will never be known.\u00a0 The boy was found some hours later hanging from a tree near father\u2019s horse lot. His neck was not broken but he died of strangulation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs S A <strong>Richardson<\/strong> died Tuesday, October 23.\u00a0 She was born in Marion Co, SC, on September 10,1833, the daughter of <strong>David<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Sarah<\/strong> <strong>Alston<\/strong> <strong>Palmer<\/strong>.\u00a0 In early years she was married to A J <strong>Richardson<\/strong>, to which union was born 4 boys &amp; 2 girls.\u00a0 At the conclusion of the Civil War she was in early 30\u2019s, she found resting on her shoulders for her husband\u2019s health had been shattered during service to his country.\u00a0 (Only survivor mentioned) daughter Miss Mollie who was a teacher at a girls\u2019 school in Charleston, SC.\u00a0 (Long article written by her pastor)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 1917 Obituaries &nbsp; 1917 Oct 25&#8211; The 12 year old son of Mr Joe Mullis, who lives in Soctt Mill neighborhood north of Argyle, committed suicide last Sunday, October 21, by hanging himself.
