*1919 Feb 6–\u00a0 James Yates, committed suicide at Bonifay, Saturday and was buried Sunday.\u00a0 He<\/p>\n
had cancer and was being treated by Dr King of this city. The cancer first appeared on<\/p>\n
a thumb, which he had amputated.\u00a0 It broke out on his side and this worried him.\u00a0 Saturday<\/p>\n
he loaded a gun with powder, placed the muzzle in his mouth.<\/p>\n

*Miss Nannie Morrison died Saturday morning (February 1, 1919) in the old Morrison homestead, in<\/p>\n
Euchee Valley and was buried Sunday at the Valley Cemetery.\u00a0 She was about 62 yrs<\/p>\n
old and was the daughter of John P & Mary J Morrison, both dead for several years.<\/p>\n
One sister, Abbie and 4 brothers, Neal, John, Daniel & Murdock survive her.\u00a0 She has<\/p>\n
been ill for some time, and several weeks ago fell on the gallery, breaking an arm.\u00a0 Miss<\/p>\n
Morrison wa born and reared and always lived on the homestead where she died.\u00a0 Abt<\/p>\n
10 yrs ago another house was built and then another but the old homestead had charms<\/p>\n
for her and she never lived elsewhere.<\/p>\n

*Clem McDonald, son of Postmaster McDonald, who is soldering in France, writes his<\/p>\n
father that he learned of the death of his mother in the Breeze.\u00a0 He went to visit another<\/p>\n
DeFuniak boy in the same regiment and there found a copy of the Breeze and read the<\/p>\n
account of his mother\u2019s death.\u00a0 He had not received his copy of the Breeze.\u00a0 Mrs Mc-<\/p>\n
Donald died late last fall and the father hesitated to write the son, knowing he received<\/p>\n
the Breeze and would read it.<\/p>\n

*1919 Feb 27– William G McConnell aged 67 yrs died Wednesday.\u00a0 He was a brother of<\/p>\n
Mr T M Mconnell and had resided in DeFuniak about 16 yrs. The funeral will be<\/p>\n
held today, Thursday.<\/p>\n
