{"id":1624,"date":"2012-07-14T11:22:02","date_gmt":"2012-07-14T17:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waltoncountyheritage.org\/wp\/?p=1624"},"modified":"2012-07-14T11:22:02","modified_gmt":"2012-07-14T17:22:02","slug":"the-defuniak-herald-january-1921-obituaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/waltonpast2present.com\/wcgs\/2012\/07\/the-defuniak-herald-january-1921-obituaries\/","title":{"rendered":"The DeFuniak Herald &#8211; January 1921 &#8211; Obituaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1921 Jan 27&#8211; Sheriff J M <strong>Summerlin<\/strong>, just 17 days in office, <strong>Frank<\/strong> <strong>Bishop<\/strong> and son <strong>Will<\/strong> <strong>Bishop<\/strong> and <strong>Fern<\/strong> <strong>Barrow<\/strong> were all killed in train and automobile accident.\u00a0 (Lengthy story including M E <strong>Savage<\/strong> who escaped death in this accident).\u00a0 Sheriff Summerlin was about 32 yrs of age, married about 5 yrs ago, leaves his wife, father &amp; mother to mourn his death, all reside at Laurel Hill, Fl. Services held at his home on Saturday. The two Bishop bodies and Mr. Barrow were laid to rest Saturday and Sunday at their respective homes.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace <strong>Ward<\/strong> was convicted of stabbing Henry <strong>Williamson<\/strong> in the neck during Christmastime which resulted in his death.
