The body was laid to rest in Cluster Springs cemetery Monday.\u00a0 He leaves a wife, 6 girls and one boy to mourn his loss.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 10 yr son of Mr &amp; Mrs Jasper brown of Ealum, died at his home Saturday (August 26, 1921) and was buried at Cluster Springs Cemetery on Sunday.\u00a0 Death came after short illness of meningitis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1921 Sep 8&#8211; Daniel <strong>Hardee<\/strong>, 13 yr son of Thomas Hardee, lost his life while trying to help his playmate, Dallas Scott, who had become entangled in shaft of mill. Accident happened last Friday at Scott Mill. He was thrashed to pieces and died from all his injuries on Saturday.\u00a0 Sadly the boy\u2019s mother died only one month prior. The boy leaves a heart broken father and 3 sisters to mourn his death.\u00a0 Funeral services were conducted last Sunday in the Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>WEDDING: Adam <strong>Hardy,<\/strong> 66 yrs of age, married Miss Sallie Smith, 13 yrs of age, last Saturday; the brides\u2019 parents having signed all papers making the marriage legal. They reside in the Valley neighborhood near Knox Hill.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: Putnam <strong>Ponssell<\/strong>, alias Jim <strong>Wingo<\/strong> and J V <strong>Martin<\/strong>, alias Jack <strong>Morris<\/strong>, were placed on trial in Crestview Tuesday charged with murder of John <strong>Tuggle<\/strong>, 5 July.\u00a0 Ponsell pleaded guilty and made a full confession in court.\u00a0 He hit Tuggle with iron bar, Martin hit 2 more times.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1921 Sep 15&#8211; Ponsel &amp; Martin to Hang Sep 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coy <strong>Holmes<\/strong> tried for murder of Claude Martin which took place May 22.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The lynching of <strong>Ponsell<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Martin<\/strong> on Tuesday night last week was narrowly averted.
