T. [William Tally] <strong>Bludworth<\/strong>, whose death occurred Thursday, January 31, were conducted on Friday afternoon [February 1, 1935] at 3:00 from the Methodist church; interment was in Magnolia cemetery.&nbsp;W. T. <strong>Bludworth<\/strong>&nbsp;was born in Dale County, Alabama, August 21, 1861. At age 10 his family moved to Florida. He was a member of the Methodist Church and graduate of Florida State Normal School.&nbsp;Thirty-nine years ago, he was united in marriage with Mrs. J. W. <strong>Kennedy<\/strong> nee Miss Lucy <strong>Jackson<\/strong>. He was a teacher and steamboat captain on the Choctawhatchee River. He practiced Law for more than forty years before ill health caused his retirement.&nbsp;He is survived by his widow; sister, Mrs. O. A. <strong>Watson<\/strong> of this place; 3 sons, Glen of DeFuniak, Ed of Sanford, and Walter of Columbia North Carolina; 3 stepchildren, John J. <strong>Kennedy<\/strong>, Mrs. D. H.<strong> McSwain<\/strong> and Mrs. C. H. <strong>Johnson<\/strong>, all of this place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funeral services for Malcolm A. <strong>Morrison<\/strong> whose death occurred on Thursday, January 31, were conducted at the Morrison home on the Circle Friday morning at 11:00. The deceased was born 44 years ago at Argyle, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm <strong>Morrison<\/strong>, a descendent of one of Florida&#8217;s older families. He served in the wireless telegraph department during the World War. On July 12, 1920, he was united in marriage with Miss Mamie Ruth <strong>Tatum<\/strong> of Geneva, Alabama. He died of pneumonia. The deceased was an insurance agent for many years.&nbsp;He is survived by his widow and 2 daughters, Mary Christian and Marjorie, one sister, Mrs. D. Stuart <strong>Gillis<\/strong>, all of this place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friends here are sorry to learn of the death of Mr. D. O. [David Oliver] <strong>Rowell<\/strong>, Tuesday night at his home in Cottondale, following an illness of long duration. Present at the time of his death was Mrs. J. A. <strong>McDonald<\/strong>, a stepdaughter, and Mr. W. W. <strong>Rowell<\/strong> a son, both of this place, who had been with him since the previous Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Sunday, December 23, 1934, we laid to rest an old patriarch, Uncle Marion <strong>Freeman<\/strong>.\u00a0Last Sunday, January 20, we buried his son, Winfred R. [Roe] <strong>Freeman<\/strong>, just four weeks of time elapsing. W. R. (Win) <strong>Freeman<\/strong> was born in Shannon County, Missouri, on November 25, 1882; he died January 18, 1935, at his home in DeFuniak.\u00a0 He was married to Hattie <strong>Ward <\/strong>on May 19, 1910. Two sons were born to them, John and Elmer, who survive as does his wife.\u00a0 (see January 24, 1935). Also surviving are his aged mother, Mrs. Annie <strong>Freeman<\/strong>, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Cora <strong>Williams<\/strong> and Mrs. Claten <strong>Culbertso<\/strong>n, of Eminence, Missouri.\u00a0The wife and mother brought the remains to Eminence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other News<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joseph <strong>Hassell<\/strong>, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wavey <strong>Wadsworth<\/strong> was operated upon for acute appendicitis at Pensacola hospital.&nbsp;He was taken to Pensacola Friday morning [February 1, 1935] and the operation was performed that afternoon.
