Survivors are wife,<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Mamie <strong>Mixon<\/strong>, children <strong>Elvin<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Irene<\/strong>, mother Mrs Eva <strong>Barnes<\/strong>, 4 brothers, <strong>Sam<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Willie<\/strong>, <strong>Winford<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Moricia<\/strong> Mixon; 3 half brothers <strong>J T, Winner <\/strong>&amp; <strong>Robert<\/strong> <strong>Barnes<\/strong>, 2<\/p>\n<p>Sisters <strong>Anna<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Lizzy<\/strong> Mixon.\u00a0\u00a0 (from Pensacola Journal)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>James <strong>Cosson,<\/strong> 51, his 2 children <strong>James<\/strong> <strong>Cosson<\/strong>, Jr, 14; <strong>Winnie<\/strong> Cosson 12, <strong>Alfred<\/strong> Cosson 45,<\/p>\n<p>(brother to James, were all killed when sticks of bombs fall near home of James, as Eglin bomber<\/p>\n<p>misses target.\u00a0 Injured were Mrs <strong>Alfred<\/strong> Cosson, 45; Mrs <strong>James<\/strong> Cosson 48; 3 sons of\u00a0 Mr &amp; Mrs<\/p>\n<p>James Cosson, <strong>Idee<\/strong> 13, <strong>Frank<\/strong> 10, &amp; <strong>Thomas<\/strong> 4, injuries to the younger boy were not<\/p>\n<p>serious.\u00a0 Tragedy was Friday evening while the two brothers and their families were visiting.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services were held Tuesday at Plesant Ridge Church, interment followed in cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>(long story)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1944 Aug 31&#8211; PFC Roy E <strong>Brannon<\/strong> killed in action. A dispatch from Washington as of date of Aug\u00a0 29<\/p>\n<p>lists among soldiers lost, the name of Pfc Roy E Brannon of Rt 1 DeFuniak as &#8221;killed in action<\/p>\n<p>in Mediterranean area&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Edna Beardsley <strong>Hicks<\/strong> has received word that Chief Warrant Officer <strong>Theron<\/strong> G Hicks<\/p>\n<p>has been killed in action.
