A Widow and three<\/p>\n<p>sons survive, Pvt <strong>Carson<\/strong> Pilcher &amp; Lt <strong>Morris<\/strong> Pilcher and Tech Sgt <strong>Ray<\/strong> Pilcher. Services<\/p>\n<p>were held in Panama City on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs <strong>Norman<\/strong> <strong>Gillis<\/strong> (<strong>Nannie<\/strong> <strong>McSween<\/strong>) services were held Saturday at Euchee Valley Church.<\/p>\n<p>Sudden death of Mrs Gillis occurred\u00a0 on December 13 at age of 86. Survivors include one<\/p>\n<p>daughter Miss <strong>Kate<\/strong> Gillis, sons, W C &amp; A M <strong>Gillis<\/strong>; sister Mrs Ed <strong>Crawford<\/strong> and brother<\/p>\n<p>J C <strong>McSween<\/strong> Sr.\u00a0 Interment was made in Valley cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr <strong>Henry<\/strong> <strong>Claud<\/strong> <strong>Miller<\/strong> died Thursday after days of illness. Services were held Friday with<\/p>\n<p>Interment in Magnolia. Survivors include a widow, one sister and two brothers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Charles<\/strong> <strong>Arthur<\/strong> <strong>Casey<\/strong>, infant son of Mr &amp; Mrs T C Casey passed away at home Sunday<\/p>\n<p>Dec 10 near Gaskin, Fl. Services were held Monday with interment at Pentecostal Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clayburn<\/strong> L <strong>Truett<\/strong> who received fatal injuries when a bus struck him and ran into the station on<\/p>\n<p>Nov 28 in Columbus, Ga.\u00a0 Services were held on Dec 1 1944, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,<\/p>\n<p>in Macon, Ga.\u00a0 He was born in Gaskin, Fl and made his home in Macon for two years.\u00a0 Sur-<\/p>\n<p>viving are his wife, the former <strong>Vivian<\/strong> <strong>Coleman<\/strong>, a daughter <strong>Ouilla<\/strong> Truett, his parents Mr &amp; Mrs<\/p>\n<p><strong>John<\/strong> C <strong>Truett<\/strong> of Gaskin, 2 sisters Miss <strong>Adell<\/strong> Truett and Mrs <strong>Horace<\/strong> <strong>Tillis<\/strong>, 2 brothers, <strong>Sherman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>G <strong>Truett<\/strong> and <strong>Vertice<\/strong> <strong>Truett<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ralph<\/strong> <strong>Frank<\/strong> <strong>Taylor<\/strong>, 36, died in Pensacola Hospital Wednesday.\u00a0 He came here from Tnn.<\/p>\n<p>Services were conducted at Red Bay Friday.\u00a0 He was survived by his wife Mrs <strong>Mary<\/strong> <strong>Alyce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rigdon<\/strong> Taylor, a brother <strong>Clyde<\/strong> Taylor, sister <strong>Beatrice<\/strong> <strong>Bennett<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1944 Dec 28: \u00a0 PFC <strong>Thomas<\/strong> <strong>Jimmerson<\/strong>, killed in action.\u00a0 Mrs <strong>Josephine<\/strong> Jimmerson has been notified<\/p>\n<p>by the war department that her son Thomas A Jimmerson was killed in action in France on<\/p>\n<p>Dec 12. Soldier Jimmerson, 25, lived near Glendale and was inducted in Army June 16 1942<\/p>\n<p>At Camp Blanding.\u00a0 His mother now lives in Florala, Ala.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lt Herbert W <strong>Bohannon<\/strong> of Jacksonville Fla has been reported missing in action since Oct 21,<\/p>\n<p>in France.\u00a0 He is brother to L L <strong>Bohannon<\/strong> of this city.\u00a0 His wife and mother reside in<\/p>\n<p>Jacksonville.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Henry L <strong>Griggs<\/strong> died suddenly from heart attack at Saufley Field near Pensacola where he<\/p>\n<p>was a civilian employee on Thursday Dec 21.\u00a0 His wife formerly Miss <strong>Orene<\/strong> <strong>Gillis<\/strong> of this<\/p>\n<p>city is a teacher at Pensacola High School. Services on Saturday\u00a0 with burial in Euchee<\/p>\n<p>Valley Cemetery.
