Brown] 81, passed away Jun 17, at the residence of his son John<\/b> Alex<\/b> Brown in Freeport.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Walton. Services were held on Sunday June 19 from graveside in Almarant Cemetery in Laurel Hill. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Minnie<\/b> Ola<\/b> Brown, 3 daughters Mrs Bell Oliver<\/b>, Mrs Jimmie Lou Adair<\/b> & Miss Flora<\/b> Brown; 4 sons, John<\/b> Alex<\/b>, Edward<\/b> F, Floyd<\/b> D and Dan<\/b> Henry<\/b> Brown; 3 brothers, R B, F T & O H Brown; one sister Mrs S A Dilley<\/b>, 16 grandchildren & 6 gr grands. Mrs Juanita<\/b> Kent<\/b> Mears<\/b> 38, passed away in Milton Jun 18.\u00a0She was a native of Jackson Co. and made her home in Freeport. Services held Wednesday with burial in Hatcher Cemetery.\u00a0Mrs Mears is survived by her mother, Maude<\/b> Padgett<\/b> Kent<\/b>, one brother, John B Kent<\/b>, 3 sisters, Mrs Laverne Kennion<\/b>, Mrs Lois Hansford<\/b>, and Mrs Lola Caswell. Mrs Duer<\/b> Alford<\/b> Pierce<\/b> 60, passed away June 20. She was native of Walton and resided in Gaskin. Services were held in Gaskin with burial in the family cemetery on the Pierce farm.  Survivors are her husband, Harley<\/b> Von<\/b> Pierce<\/b>, her mother Mrs Strammer<\/b> Johnson<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev William Franklin Brannon 49, <\/b>of <\/b>Tucson <\/b>Ariz <\/b>died <\/b>Saturday <\/b>June <\/b>18 <\/b>in <\/b>Ariz hospital. A native of Ponce de Leon, he resided in Tucson for past 4 yrs. Services were held Friday with interment followed in New Ponce de Leon cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mrs Erin<\/b> Brannon<\/b>, 3 sons Howard<\/b>, Calvin<\/b> & Franklin<\/b>, 5 daughters, Mrs Mavis Sturgull<\/b>, Misses Mary Martha<\/b>, Bricilla<\/b> & Elizabeth<\/b> Elaine<\/b> Brannon; 3 brothers Alfred<\/b>, Oscar<\/b> & Aubrey<\/b> Brannon<\/b>; 7 sisters, Mrs Ella Hester<\/b>, Mrs Ola Bearden<\/b>, Mrs Nettie Grave<\/b>, Mrs Dove Scalf<\/b>, Mrs Cecil Thorpe<\/b>, Mrs Avis Norris<\/b> & Mrs Louis Dyle<\/b>. Church with interment following in the church cemetery. She is survived by 4 sons; Wilbern<\/b>, Phillip<\/b>, Eugene<\/b> & Hughey<\/b>; 6 daughters, Mrs Izona Evans<\/b>, Mrs Temple Hurst<\/b>, Mrs Lena Chamberlain<\/b>, Mrs Ada Ammons<\/b>, Mrs Lottie Gomillion<\/b> and Mrs Esther Hattaway<\/b>; one sister, Mrs Mary Tarrance<\/b>, 61 grandchildren, 33 gr grands & 8 gr gr grands.
