He brought<\/p>\n<p>his family to DeFuniak in 1915.\u00a0 Survived by his wife, Mrs <b>Madeline<\/b> Casey, 2 sons, <b>M J <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&amp; W L Jr<\/b>; 6 daughters; Mrs Myrtle <b>Norton<\/b>, Mrs Ruth <b>Lindsey<\/b>, Mrs Ruby <b>Johns<\/b>, Mrs<\/p>\n<p>Claudia B <b>Ward<\/b>; Mrs Wilke <b>Durden<\/b>; Mrs Billie <b>Brundage<\/b>; 2 brothers, <b>E L &amp; N L Casey<\/b>;<\/p>\n<p>and 26 grandchildren and 15 gr grands.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs <b>Sarah<\/b> <b>Anderson<\/b> <b>Hobbs<\/b> 78, of Pleasant Grove, died Monday Jul 25.\u00a0 She was a native<\/p>\n<p>and lifelong resident of Walton Co.\u00a0 Services were held Wednesday Jul 27 at the Pleasant<\/p>\n<p>Grove Baptist with interment followed in the church cemetery.\u00a0 Survivors are her husband,<\/p>\n<p><b>J W HOBBS<\/b>, one son, <b>Walton<\/b> <b>Hobbs<\/b>, 2 daughters, Mrs Mary <b>Wiggins<\/b> &amp; Mrs Leo <b>Kunkel<\/b>;<\/p>\n<p>2 brothers <b>George<\/b> &amp; Rev T J <b>Anderson<\/b>; 4 sisters, Mrs L E <b>Gill<\/b>, Mrs H H <b>Hobbs<\/b>, Mrs<\/p>\n<p>Mollie <b>Ray<\/b> &amp; Mrs Lillie <b>Grant<\/b>; 9 grandchildren &amp; 3 gr grands.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Clyde<\/b> F <b>Campbell<\/b>, 50, died Friday July 22 in a Crestview hospital.\u00a0 He was a WWII veteran,<\/p>\n<p>and former county attorney for Okaloosa Co.\u00a0 Survivors include his wife, Mrs <b>Louise<\/b> <b>Simmons<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Campbell<\/b>, 3 sisters, Mrs J A <b>Zorn<\/b>, Mrs J S <b>Croft<\/b> &amp; Mrs A B <b>Champion<\/b>.\u00a0 Services were held<\/p>\n<p>Sunday at the Laurel Hill Presbyterian church, with interment held in Almarant Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>John<\/b> H <b>Messer<\/b>, 73 died Saturday Jul 23 in a local hospital.\u00a0 Mr Messer was a native of Newton,<\/p>\n<p>Ala and a resident in DeFuniak since 1939. Survivors are his wife, Mrs <b>Mary<\/b> <b>Messer<\/b>, 4 sons,<\/p>\n<p><b>Alton<\/b>, <b>Bert<\/b>, <b>T F<\/b> &amp; <b>Robert<\/b>; 4 daughters Mrs Esther <b>Hoover<\/b>, Mrs Lessie Mae <b>Flemming<\/b>, Mrs<\/p>\n<p>Trimi V <b>Nobles<\/b> and Mrs Bonnie <b>Bray<\/b>; 3 sisters, Mrs Quilla <b>Bradshaw<\/b>, Mrs Mary <b>Howard<\/b><\/p>\n<p>and Mrs Hattie <b>Taylor<\/b>, 25 grandchildren &amp; 4 gr grands.\u00a0 Services wer held Monday at<\/p>\n<p>Clear Springs church near Florala, Al with burial in Clear Springs cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Contributed by Lois Danley and Sharon Watson<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1960 July 28 &nbsp; W L Casey Sr, died Wednesday Jul 20 at local hospital from operation from which he never recovered.\u00a0 He was born in Barbour Co, Ala July 25, 1883 and was 76 yrs.
