Mrs Anna<\/b> King<\/b> Anderson<\/b> 64, died Sunday Aug 21 at her home.\u00a0 A native and life-<\/p>\n
long resident of Walton, she resided in DeFuniak for the past 50 yrs.\u00a0 Funeral was held at<\/p>\n
3:00 from the First Baptist church with interment in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.\u00a0 Mrs<\/p>\n
Anderson is survived by one son, Albert J Anderson<\/b>, 2 daughters, Mrs Sallie Mae Parker<\/b>,<\/p>\n
and Mrs Jeanette McDinald<\/b>; 2 brothers D R King<\/b> & J B King<\/b>; one sister Mrs Alice K<\/p>\n
Wadsworth<\/b>; 5 grandchildren & 4 gr grands.<\/p>\n

Mrs Janette<\/b> T Lula<\/b> Fountain<\/b> 89, died Saturday Aug 20 at the home of her daugher, Mrs<\/p>\n
Ella<\/b> Mae<\/b> Jones<\/b> in north Santa Rosa Co.\u00a0 She had lived with her daughter for the past<\/p>\n
year, but was a native of Milton.\u00a0 Survivors are Mrs Jones, Mrs Allie Heath<\/b>, 3 sons,<\/p>\n
Eddie<\/b> Lee, M T & J Conrad<\/b> Fountain, 3 half brothers,\u00a0 Leon<\/b>, George<\/b> & Arthur<\/b> Lewis<\/b>,<\/p>\n
one half sister Mrs Fred West<\/b> and 16 grandchildren.<\/p>\n

Arnie<\/b> Lee<\/b> Henley<\/b> was born Aug 24 1915 to the late Mr & Mrs W M<\/p>\n
Henley of Glendale, Fla.\u00a0 He served 4 years in U S Navy, was at Pearl Harbor on<\/p>\n
Dec 7 1941.\u00a0 He was married Apr 12 1948 to the former Miss Joyce<\/b> Loraine<\/b><\/p>\n
Sowell<\/b> of Everett, Washington.\u00a0 He was a photographer by trade and had a studio<\/p>\n
at Elk Grove, Calif, at the time of his death Jun 24 at Oakland Navy Hospital.<\/p>\n
Funeral was held Jun 19 in Oak Hill Memorial Chapel of Roses in San Jose, Calif.<\/p>\n
Interment was private at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose, Calif.\u00a0 He leaves a<\/p>\n
wife, Joyce<\/b>, son Walter<\/b>, daughter Arna<\/b>; 2 sisters Mrs W E Cox<\/b> & Rose<\/b> Henley;<\/p>\n
3 brothers King<\/b>, Bill<\/b> & Herbert<\/b> Henley, 4 nephews, 6 nieces and one grand niece.<\/p>\n

James<\/b> Luther<\/b>\u00a0 ‘Newt’<\/b> Godwin<\/b> born Aug 20 1923 to Mr & Mrs Luther<\/b> Godwin<\/b>.<\/p>\n
He was a veteran of WWII, seeing abt 3 yrs overseas duty.\u00a0 He was married to the<\/p>\n
former Miss Robbie<\/b> Register<\/b> of Bonifay.\u00a0 To this union was born 2 sons, Douglass<\/b><\/p>\n
and Charles<\/b>.\u00a0 Newt departed this life on Aug 5 1960 in the Veterans Hospital in<\/p>\n
Birmingham, Ala. Survivors also include his parents, Luther<\/b> & Clyde<\/b>, his brother,<\/p>\n
Jerry<\/b>, aunts, uncles & cousins.\u00a0\u00a0 He was laid to rest at Gum Creek Cemetery on Aug 9.<\/p>\n

William M Pennington,\u00a0<\/b>34, Martha Pennington<\/b> his 4 yr-old daugher, & Mrs Elvie Karina Gillis, <\/b>22,<\/p>\n
his sister, died early Sunday Aug 21 after being involved in an auto accident north of<\/p>\n
Milton.\u00a0 Mr Pennington & Mrs Gillis died instantly and the child died about 2 hrs later<\/p>\n
in a Santa Rosa Hospital.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr Pennington’s wife, Mrs Emily Lue Pennington, <\/b>30, died<\/p>\n
early Monday in a Pensacola hospital.\u00a0\u00a0 The family was enroute to visit Mr & Mrs Joseph<\/b><\/p>\n
H Pennington<\/b>, the deceased parents.\u00a0\u00a0 Both were natives of Holmes co.\u00a0 In addition to<\/p>\n
his parents, Mr Pennington is survived by a son, Joseph<\/b> Everette<\/b> and a daughter, Mary<\/b><\/p>\n
Louise<\/b>. The Pennington family was living in Chalmette, La.\u00a0 Mrs Gillis, besides her<\/p>\n
parents is survived by a 3 yr old son, Richard<\/b> Angus<\/b>, who was uninjuried in the wreck<\/p>\n
and her husband Angus<\/b> D Gillis<\/b> of New Orleans. Both are survived by 2 brothers,<\/p>\n
Lloyd<\/b> F & Fred<\/b> W; 2 sisters, Mrs Emily<\/b> Louise<\/b> Johnson<\/b>, and Miss Lois<\/b> Pennington<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Martha<\/b> Lou<\/b>, the 4 yr child is survived by a brother and sister, paternal grandparents,<\/p>\n
and maternal grandmother Mrs Everette<\/b> Griggs<\/b>.\u00a0 Funeral arrangements at this time<\/p>\n
were incomplete.<\/p>\n
