John<\/b> Frank<\/b> Alford<\/b> 80, died Saturday Sep 27.\u00a0 She was a native of Darlington but<\/p>\n
had lived in DeFuniak for past 10 yrs.\u00a0 Services were held Tuesday from Limestone<\/p>\n
Baptist church interment followed in the church cemetery.\u00a0 Survivors include 3 sons,<\/p>\n
Lamar<\/b>, Howard<\/b>, Dewey<\/b>; 3 daughters Mrs Mytrle Pryor<\/b>, Mrs Ester Gainey<\/b> and Mrs<\/p>\n
Mary Lou Atkinson<\/b>; one brother Thermond<\/b>; 3 sisster Mrs C W Miles<\/b>, Mrs H Lawrence<\/b>;<\/p>\n
& Mrs Alice Burchannon<\/b>, 15 grandchildren & 8 gr grands.<\/p>\n

Daniel<\/b> Angus<\/b> Carroll<\/b> 60, of Leonia was found dead of a bullet wound in the chest in<\/p>\n
his backyard on Monday. Coroners jury will convene Tuesday to determine how the<\/p>\n
wound was inflicted.\u00a0 He was a native and life long resident of Holmes Co. Survivors<\/p>\n
include his widow, Mrs Malkey<\/b> Carroll, 2 sons Daniel<\/b> Angus Jr & Randall<\/b>; 4 daughters,<\/p>\n
Misses Gracie<\/b> Ann<\/b>, Ruthie<\/b>, & Lavell<\/b> Carroll<\/b> and Mrs Martha Crowder<\/b>, 2 brothers, John<\/b><\/p>\n
& Will<\/b> Carroll, 3 sisters, Mrs Abbie Smothers<\/b>, Mrs Ida Broxton<\/b> & Mrs MaMry<\/p>\n
Padgett<\/b>; and 2 grandchildren.<\/p>\n

Mrs Barbara<\/b> Lillie<\/b> Rushing<\/b> Smith<\/b>, 20 of Leonia died Saturday.\u00a0 She was a native of Ponce<\/p>\n
de Leon but had lived inLeonia for several months. Survivors included one daughter, Miss<\/p>\n
Barbara<\/b> Ellen<\/b> Smith, parents, Mr & Mrs Esker<\/b> Rushing<\/b>; 4 sissters Mrs Rube Hare<\/b>, Mrs<\/p>\n
Harold Deering<\/b>, Mrs Robert Spence<\/b> and Miss Alice Rushing<\/b>; 4 brothers; Theodore<\/b>,<\/p>\n
Thedwell<\/b>, William<\/b> Albert<\/b> & Donald<\/b> Rushing<\/b>; paternal grandmother Mrs Polly<\/b> Ann<\/b><\/p>\n
Rushing<\/b> and maternal grandmother, Mrs Lou<\/b> H Burch<\/b>.<\/p>\n

James<\/b> Larkin<\/b> Miller<\/b> 78, passed away Sunday. He was native of Ala and had been a resi-<\/p>\n
dent of Walton for past 15 yrs, but at time of his death was a resident of Darlington.<\/p>\n
Services were held Tuesday from Sandy Creek Baptist church with interment followed<\/p>\n
in church cemetery.\u00a0\u00a0 Survivors include his wife, Mrs Maggie<\/b> Miller, one daughter Mrs<\/p>\n
Vera Burgess<\/b>, 2 sons, Major<\/b> & Grady<\/b>; one sister Mrs Willie Henderson<\/b>; 2 grandchildren,<\/p>\n
& 2 gr grands.<\/p>\n
