Mr Delmar<\/b> B Chamblee<\/b> 41, of Ponce de Leon, died Sunday Nov 27 in Alabama Veteran’s Hospital, he was a native & life long resident of Ponce de Leon and a veteran of\u00a0 WWII.\u00a0 Graveside services were held Monday from the New Ponce de Leon cemetery. Survivors include his wife Mrs Annie<\/b> Mae<\/b> Chamblee, step mother Mrs Christine<\/b> Chamblee, 3 brothers, Albert<\/b>, _____, & Sherwood<\/b> Chamblee; 3 sisters, Mrs Ida Ward<\/b>, Mrs Corrine Bagley<\/b>, & Mrs Lorene Hawthorne<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mrs Lou<\/b> H Burch<\/b> 79, of Valley View died Monday Nov 21.\u00a0 Mrs Burch was a native of Coffee Co, Al but had lived in this county for many years. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs Daley Rushing<\/b>, Mrs Mattie Lee Burch<\/b> & Mrs William Joe Davis<\/b>; 5 sons, Dan<\/b>, Fred<\/b>, Edward<\/b>, Eugene<\/b> & Phillip<\/b> Burch; 2 sisters, Mrs Maude Housman<\/b> & Mrs Mamie Yates<\/b>; 30 granchildren and several gr grands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ira<\/b> Louis<\/b> Brown<\/b> 59, died Friday Nov 25.\u00a0 Services were held on Sunday from the First Presbyterian church, with burial in the Steele cemetery.\u00a0 Mr Brown was a native of Walton and had resided in DeFuniak most of his life.\u00a0 At the time of his death he was assistant manager of Liberty National Life Insurance with 18 yrs service with the company.\u00a0 Mr Brown is survived by his widow, Mrs Brady<\/b> Lea<\/b> Brown, one son, Donald<\/b>, one daughter, Mrs Leo Fulton<\/b>, 2 sisters, Mrs Texie Thomason<\/b> & Mrs Hattie Hightower<\/b> and 3 grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oscar<\/b> Eugene<\/b> Matthews<\/b>, 69 died Sunday Nov 27 in Ponce de Leon.\u00a0 He was a native of Selma, Ala and had been a resident for the past 59 yrs.\u00a0 He is survived by his widow, Mrs Lou<\/b> S Matthews<\/b>, one daughter, Mrs J W Parshal, 6 sons, Dr A H, Dr W W, Dr E L, Dr O K,<\/b> H A, <\/b>and Eglon<\/b> Matthews<\/b>; one sister, Mrs Lizzie McCellen<\/b>, 17 grandchildren and 3 gr grands.
