{"id":218,"date":"2009-12-16T16:34:12","date_gmt":"2009-12-16T22:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waltoncountyheritage.org\/wp\/?p=218"},"modified":"2024-05-28T13:16:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T18:16:00","slug":"the-breeze-september-22-1910-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/waltonpast2present.com\/wcgs\/2009\/12\/the-breeze-september-22-1910-4\/","title":{"rendered":"The Breeze &#8211; September 22, 1910 &#8211; Page 8"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Death of Mrs. Julia Yonge<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/60201778\/julia_ann_yonge\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/60201778\/julia_ann_yonge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Julia Yonge<\/a>, who died in DeFuniak Springs Saturday night [September 17, 1910] at 11:20 o&#8217;clock, after a lingering illness, were conducted in this city yesterday morning at 10 o&#8217;clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mrs. <strong>Yonge<\/strong> had been in bad health for some time, and last winter went to DeFuniak Springs for the benefit of her health, and was residing with her daughter, Miss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/103172323\/julia_jane_yonge\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/103172323\/julia_jane_yonge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Julia <strong>Yonge<\/strong><\/a>, at that place when her death occurred. The remains of Mrs. <strong>Yonge<\/strong> were brought to this city Sunday morning and were met at the depot by a large concourse of friends and acquaintances and carried from there to the home of Hon. [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/18099314\/philip_keyes_yonge\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/18099314\/philip_keyes_yonge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Philip Keyes] <strong>Yonge<\/strong><\/a>. Funeral services were conducted yesterday morning at Christ church, Rev. Mr. <strong>Brown<\/strong> performing the last sad rites, after which interment was made in St. Michael&#8217;s cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/12417820\/william_alexander_blount\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/12417820\/william_alexander_blount\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">William Alexander] <strong>Blount<\/strong><\/a>, [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/44788052\/francis-celestino-brent\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/44788052\/francis-celestino-brent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Francis Celestino] <strong>Brent<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/25097442\/lewis-willis\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/25097442\/lewis-willis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lewis <strong>Willis<\/strong><\/a>, J. W. Durr, [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/105834641\/henry-somerset-white\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/105834641\/henry-somerset-white\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Henry Somerset] <strong>White<\/strong><\/a> and [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/107171504\/william-kopman-hyer\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/memorial\/107171504\/william-kopman-hyer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">William Kopman] Hyer, Jr.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mrs. <strong>Yonge<\/strong> was eighty years of age and was one of the most beloved residents of this city. She was consistent member of the Episcopal church, and an earnest church worker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mrs. <strong>Yonge<\/strong> is survived by one son, P.
