W. <strong>Peake<\/strong>, of Pensacola, was in town last week visiting his sister, Mrs. W. P. <strong>Reynold<\/strong>s.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All the latest novelties in sterling silver, Parisian ivory goods at DeFuniak Drug Co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rev. Robert S. <strong>Sanders<\/strong>, field agent for Palmer College, DeFuniak Springs, Fla, spent several days here this week in the interest of that worthy institution. Mr. <strong>Sanders<\/strong> filled the pulpit at the Presbyterian church Sunday morning, delivering an able sermon \u2013 <em>Monticello News<\/em>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Feb. 27\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li>Messrs D. <strong>Butts<\/strong>, J. A. <strong>Neel<\/strong> and Bob <strong>Davis<\/strong>, of Union, were in town last Monday on business.<\/li><li>Mr. W. P. <strong>Balkom<\/strong> of Union was in town last Monday on business.<\/li><li>Mr. J. C. <strong>Walden<\/strong> Jr., who has been spending a few days with Mrs. <strong>Walden<\/strong>, left for Dothan, Ala. last Sunday.<\/li><li>Mr. and Mrs. J. J. <strong>McCaskill<\/strong> Jr., of Freeport, were in town last Saturday and Sunday visiting their parents and attending the Chautauqua.<\/li><li>We were glad to see so many country people in town last Monday.<\/li><li>Miss Ida <strong>Ray<\/strong>, who was called to her home at Knox Hill on account of the illness of her sister, Miss Sallie <strong>Ray<\/strong>, returned last Sunday. Her many friends are glad to have her back at the telephone office.<\/li><li>Mr. Dan <strong>Wilkes<\/strong>, of Ponce de Leon, was in town last Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. C. E. <strong>Hewett<\/strong>, of Antioch, was in town last Sunday visiting his family.<\/li><li>Mr. and Mrs. W. F. <strong>Hughes<\/strong> and son, of Florala, Ala., were in town last Sunday visiting friends.<\/li><li>Mr. and Mrs. W. K. <strong>Harrell<\/strong>, of Marianna, were in town last Sunday visiting friends. Mrs. Mary <strong>Wooten<\/strong> of Florala, Ala., was in town last Sunday visiting friends.<\/li><li>Mr. G. H. <strong>Butler<\/strong>, of Ponce de Leon, was in town last Sunday.<\/li><li>Mrs. G. H. <strong>Barrinon<\/strong>, of Griton, arrived last Saturday to visit relatives.<\/li><li>Mr. <strong>Huggins<\/strong> and Charlie <strong>Robinson<\/strong>, of Freeport, were in town last Saturday.\u00a0 Mrs. L. <strong>Miller<\/strong> of Pensacola was in town last Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. Tom <strong>Alsobrook<\/strong>, of Ponce de Leon, was in town the first of the week.<\/li><li>Mr. and Mrs. L. I. <strong>Smith<\/strong>, of Camp Walton, arrived last Monday to visit their son and attend the Chautauqua.<\/li><li>Mr. J. B. <strong>Ward<\/strong>, of Union, was in town last Monday visiting his daughter, Miss Anna <strong>Ward<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Mrs. Dr. <strong>Trammell<\/strong> of Crestview arrived last Saturday to visit her friend, Mrs. <strong>Florence<\/strong>, and attend the Chautauqua.<\/li><li>Mr. C. D. <strong>Meigs<\/strong>, of Mossy Head, was in the city Friday visiting his children.<\/li><li>Mrs. W. L. <strong>Lockey<\/strong>, of Chipley, was in the city Saturday visiting her cousin, Mrs. Burruss <strong>Cawthon<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Mrs. M. O. <strong>Brawner<\/strong>, of Pensacola, is visiting her parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. L. <strong>Campbell<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Mrs. Olih <strong>Campbell<\/strong> entertained some of her friends one evening last week at \u201cForty-Two\u201d in honor of her friend, Miss Mary <strong>Lewis<\/strong> of Natchez, Miss., who is visiting her sister, Mrs. P. D. <strong>Beville<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Editor <strong>Williams<\/strong>, of the Holmes county Advertiser, was in the city Saturday on business and pleasure combined. While here he showed his genial countenance in the Herald office for a pleasant few moments. Ed says he got enough law-making in the last legislature to do him a good while and that he is not in politics this year.<\/li><li>W. C. <strong>McLean<\/strong>, of Knox Hill, was in the city Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. U. R. <strong>Woodham<\/strong>, of Portland, was here Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. <strong>Brett<\/strong>, of New Home, was in DeFuniak last Saturday.<\/li><li>Mrs. J. Conrad <strong>Scott<\/strong>, of Pensacola, was visiting her husband in DeFuniak last Saturday.<\/li><li>The Baptist Ladies will sell homemade cake Friday afternoon at the Dixie Drug Store. Light house keepers and busy house keepers should\u00a0not miss this opportunity to provide themselves with a delicious cake, made by some of the best cooks in town.<\/li><li>Miss. <strong>Hemphill<\/strong>, of Chipley, visited Mrs. Burruss <strong>Cawthon<\/strong> last Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. S. A. <strong>Kennedy<\/strong>, of Mossy Head, was in town last Tuesday and made a pleasant call at the Herald office.<\/li><li>The Young Ladies Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church will sell Cake and Candy at the Dixie Drug Store Friday.<\/li><li>Mr. W. <strong>Chaffin<\/strong>, of Tallahassee, was the guest of friends here last Saturday.<\/li><li>Mr. D. A. <strong>McLean<\/strong>, of Niceville, was in town last Sunday visiting his daughter who is attending Palmer College.<\/li><li>Miss Mattie <strong>Phillips<\/strong> returned to her home at Ocala last week after visiting friends here.<\/li><li>Miss Mattie <strong>Bell<\/strong> returned from Pensacola last Thursday after spending a few days with her friend Miss Leah <strong>Sutton<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Miss Jennie <strong>Jackson<\/strong>, of Vernon, is the guest of her cousin, Miss Leah <strong>Jackson<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Miss Eva <strong>Rutherford<\/strong>, of Crestview, was in town last Saturday visiting her parents.<\/li><li>Mr.\u00a0 John <strong>Richardson<\/strong>, who has been quite sick, is able to be out among his friends again.<\/li><li>Mr. Willliam <strong>Rogers<\/strong> visited Ponce de Leon last Friday on business.<\/li><li>Misses Eola and Nora <strong>Powell<\/strong> returned to attend school again from Dorcas last Tuesday where they had been visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.
