  • Mrs Stokes of Laurel Hill was visiting friends here las Sunday
  • Barson Scott and Malory Green were hurt badly Friday night when driving mule wagon too fast
  • Plaist Masions’ little girl has been quite ill for the last week
  • Miss Eula Mae Green “made a flying trip to Bascon Geren Friday evening.” [I believe that should read Bascom Green – Ed.]
  • Miss Velmer Reckford has been quite ill the past few days
  • Mrs. AL Hare has been ill for the past week
  • Miss Margaret Reickord, father and brother made a business trip to section 3 last Wednesday
  • Mr. Battersbe went to Montgomery to see a doctor

 

Niceville

  • M/MBH Sutton, M/M BC Davis, Miss Lula Edge, SS Spence and Mr. Ross visited in Camp Walton, Saturday
  • JR Bedding left Sunday to spend a few weeks with relatives in Opp, Ala.
  • M/M Jacob Benton and children, M/M Linsey of Opp, Ala. Visited here and went on fox hunt
  • BM Archibald spent a few days in Pensacola this week
  • Mrs JE Jeraunld, returned to her home in Pensacola Saturday after visiting here
  • M/M BH Sutton, BP Edge, M/M RC Davis, M Ross, Miss Lula Edge, Walter Miller and Master Joel Edge spent Tuesday fishing at Pippens Lake
  • BH Sutton took his wife and little girl, Berlas to Pensacola to the doctor
  • JH Tison left for Savannah, Ga., Saturday to visit relatives – had been here for a year
  • Miss Rosa Browne, of Laurel Hill is visiting Miss Lula Edge
  • IA Helms of Holt is spending a few days with relatives and friends
  • WF Hill of Garniers is spending this week with ER McKee at the Rocky Ranger Station

  • Norman Gillis has been sick for the past week
  • Dr. CB McKinnon made professional visit here Tuesday
  • John Gillis and sister, Miss Thelmer (sic) have returned from DeFuniak where they were taking the County Exam
  • Alwin Gillis came home Thursday came home to see his sick father; he will stay for a few days
  • Messrs. Frank McKinnon, Knox Gillis & wife, of DeFuniak visited Mr. Gillis’ sister and brothers last week
  • Mrs. WH Elmer, of Lynn Haven is visiting her father and son for a few days
  • Dan Ray & Will Smith attended services at Beach Grove Sunday
  • Oliver Pouncy left for Lockhart where he will work for a while
  • Mrs. PD McSween of Pleasant Ridge visited friends here Saturday
  • WC Gillis was in Ponce de Leon Saturday on business
  • HE Wickersham & Stuart Gillis of DeFuniak visited their uncle Norman Gillis here Thursday
  • JW Gillis and son Alex were in Ponce de Leon on business Saturday

  • Miss Mary Gomillion returned Sunday from visit to relatives in Westville
  • Rev. Peacock lectured at the school house Thursday night
  • Misses May Smith, Nora & Mary Gomillion were guests of Miss Mary Rushing Sunday
  • Jerry Day made his usual call here Sunday
  • WM Smith made his usual call down Beech Grove way, Sunday
  • Miss Lillian Mc Donald and father of Caryville, were here Friday and Saturday
  • Miss Mary Gomillion was in Westville Saturday
  • Jenry (sic) May of Caryville made his usual call at MK Rushing’s Sunday
  • Miss Ann Kennington and Aden Ward passed through on the way to Ponce de Leon
  • NA McDonald & FL Gomillion from camps near Douglass cross roads Saturday night. FL Gomillion wxpects to move to Caryville next week
  • M/M John A McDonald of DeFuniak spent Sunday and Monday with parents here
  • Messrs. Willie & Harlin Campbell and Lonie King spent Sunday at Ponce de Leon

  • De Murphy was called to Pensacola to visit his seriously ill wife; he had mumps and had to wait till it was safe for him to “venture out”
  • HE Graham & Miss Anna Thompson, eldest daughter of M/M HW Thompson of Bagdad, were married at an early hour last Wednesday morning and left on the 9 o’clock train for parts in Lousiana.” – Milton Star
