  • Mr. Jasper Underwood returned to resume work as a barber at Pinckard, AL
  • Messrs. A.W. Dannelly, Jon Ealum, H.M. Hanna attended the play at DeFuniak
  • Mr. Dukes and Miss Olive Henderson of Gaskin visited Sunday
  • There was a gathering of young folks at Mr. Heath’s Saturday night
  • Mr. McKinnon of DeFuniak passed through Wednesday on his way to Geneva
  • Mr. W.M Smith and Miss Flowers Underwood shopped in DeFuniak Saturday
  • Dr. King filled his regular appointment here Saturday

  • Mr. R.H. Kenebrew of Athens, GA who has been here on a business and pleasure trip received a message last Monday that his uncle was quite ill and returned home that night
  • Messrs. Henry Collingsworth, M.E. Savage, Cleve Dannelley, Wash Dannelley, J.L. Edwards, B.G. Bell, John Bell, J.M. Herring, Lee Martin, Robert Bell, Joe Harrison, A. Justine, of Glendale were courting in DeFuniak Monday
  • Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sawyer of Clintonville, AL who have been visiting their daughter, Mrs. D.H. Kline returned home last Friday.  Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer have a host of friends who are always glad to welcome them

  • Professor Malcolm Morrison is spending the holidays visiting home folk
  • Jim Stewart and family of Knox Hill visited H.H. Stewart and family Saturday and Sunday
  • N.A. McLeod and children of Red Bay visited Mr. & Mrs. David George Tuesday
  • Henry Crawford and wife of St. Andrews have been visiting relatives in our community for the past two weeks
  • Ealcom Morrison spent the latter part of the week visiting friends at Sandy Creek
  • L.E. Laird and wife visited relatives in Eucheeanna Sunday
  • Sanders Douglass, Alwin Gillis and Dan Ray of DeFuniak passed through here Sunday afternoon

Pleasant Valley (5)

  • Misses Lizzie Hunt and Blennie Miller of DeFuniak accompanied by Curry Douglass of Pleasant Ridge attended the minstrel here Christmas night
  • Christmas passed off quietly here, “Old Mr. Liquor” wasn’t heard from very much
  • Quite a few improvements are being made in our vicinity, such as building houses, putting in phones and opening up farms
  • Misses Thelma and Katie Gillis who are two of Knox Hill’s belles, J.A. Gillis, and J.A. Ray were here in attendance of the minstrel last week
  • W.M. Smith of Glendale is here spending the holidays with his parents
  • Sherriff Bell was down our way one day last week
  • W.M. Smith accompanied by Prof. M. Morrison of Arcadia spent the last weekend at Pleasant Grove
