  • Mr. D.W. McLean and wife visited parents on Sunday
  • Mr. A.D. Ray and wife of Rat Head visited here this past weekend
  • Miss Annie McLean returned Monday from DeFuniak
  • Mr. John Campbell of Antioch was here Sunday
  • Mr. Jim McLean visited DeFuniak
  • Mr. Spurgeon Lindsey was in Ponce de Leon Sunday
  • Jeanette Campbell, teacher at Chipley, spent last week with home folks
  • Mr. Eugene Ward visited his sister in Opp last week
  • Rev. R.Q. Baker filled his regular appointment here Saturday & Sunday
  • Young folks attended a dance as Chas. McDonald’s on Wednesday
  • Jim McLean and Tom Kirkland attended Sunday school…. (damaged)

  • School opened Monday after 2 weeks vacation
  • W.M. Smith of Ponce de Leon returned to teach Monday
  • Dr. Methenia of Samson made a professional call here Sunday
  • Miss Dora Underwood and brother Beachum returned Sunday after spending holidays with relatives in Alabama
  • J.L. Sullivan is building a new addition to his house for his brother, M. Sullivan, who moved here last week
  • W.J. Howell made a business trip to DeFuniak Monday
  • Mr. Clark of Opp, AL moved his family here last week in to the Straugh cottage
  • Messrs. Opryor & Keel of Ponce de Leon were business visitors here last week
  • Mr. Holloway of Opp visited last week
  • Sam Smith of this place purchased a part of the Gres?eth Plantation and expects to move there soon
  • Mr. J.F. Howell expects to leave this week to visit relatives in Live Oak
  • Jasper Underwood of Pinkard, AL is visiting home folks
  • D.E. Murphy and W.A. Underwood were business visitors to DeFuniak Monday
  • Hardis Greene of Ponce de Leon made a short call here Sunday

  • Mr. B.F. Cockcroft of Paxton visited friends in DeFuniak Saturday
  • Dan McLeod of Florala visited relatives in the city Saturday
  • Mr. & Mrs. J.J. Meigs of Bristol are in the city visiting the family of W.F. Meigs
  • W.M. Smith of Pleasant Valley visited the city Saturday
  • Mrs. W.L. Cawthon and niece, Miss Maud Saunders, visited friends in Pensacola Saturday
  • W.A. Underwood was a business visitor in the city from Glendale
  • Mrs. J. Ed Ellenberg and daughter, of Atlanta, GA, are in the city visiting Mrs. O.A. Werson
  • Mr. T.H. Edney, who as been visiting her mother, Mrs. J.C. Walden, Sr. left last Monday night for her home in Florala
  • R.E. Barnes and family, of Glendale, have moved to town and are occupying J. McCullough’s residence on the south side of town
