The DeFuniak Herald – July 1921 – Obituary

1921 Jul 7– John Tuggle was last seen alive about 1:30 Monday afternoon and his murdered body was found Wednesday in Okaloosa county a short distance from Deerland. His watch, money and some clothing in his suitcase were taken.  Late in afternoon two men were arrested in Dothan. The men were wearing Tuggle’s clothing and had his watch.  Tuggle’s body was carried to Chipley for burial.  (Long article concerning his trip to Milton preceding his murder).
