Romulus Wayne Thompson was born in Dickson Co Tenn, on February 23 1855. He removed to Grave Co, Ky at age of 21 yrs, living there for more than 40 yrs. He was united in marriage on Nov 9 1879 to Miss Dora Pi____.  To this union was born 9 children, four of them dying at early age, and one son Herbert passing away at age 13. (lengthy article)

Russell J Hillard 29 yrs, brother of Mrs Ollie Thompson was killed in accident near Jackson, Tenn. He was hitching up a team of mules when they were frightened by a dog, bolted and trampled him, pulling the cultivator they were hitched to over his mangled body.  His death occurred the same day Mrs Ollie Thompson’s father in law’s death.

FYI – Lawrence Ward’s disappearance is less mysterious as time goes by.  Father of the missing man talked to a family friend in Havana, Fl who says he saw Ward the day he was reported missing. Says he passed him outside of Havana and offered to help but they had just fixed the punctured tire and were getting on their way.
