1919 Jun 5– Death of Mrs Jennie Birdsell of Heyworth, Illinois who was well and favorably
known here having frequently visited, occurred Wednesday at 1:30 at her home in
this city. The deceased was the daughter of Mr & Mrs Joshua Carle and the family
came here from Ohio in 1859 having located near Heyworth. Mrs Birdsell was born
January 16 1841 and departed this life May 14 1919, being in her 79 year. June 27
1861 she was united in marriage to W F Birdsell. To this union was born 2 children,
both of whom died in infancy. The husband preceded the wife in death 32 yrs ago.
Six years ago she, in company of her sister Mrs Mary S Stone, took up residence in
Heyworth.
