MISSING IN ACTION ANNOUNCEMENT: 1943 July 8 – Mr & Mrs John C McSween received distressing information that Lt Raymond (Dick)
McSween, bombardier was missing in action in India.
Death came to Mr Duncan Gillis on Saturday Jun 30th at his home. Mr Gillis was one of the
oldest citizens of the county being 91 yrs. His daughter Miss Estelle attended her father.
Services were held at the home on Sunday, interment was made at Magnolia cemetery where
his wife and two daughters who proceeded him in death are buried.
