1917 June 28–  Mrs Milbra King, mother of Dr John F King, Mr D H King and Mrs Love Moore, died

Sunday at her home this city.  “Grandma King” as she was called was born in Baker Co, Georgia

Jan 4th 1831 and had reached the old age of 86 yrs when she died.  She joined the Primitive

Baptist church in 1865.  She was the mother of 8 children, three of who survive her. Funeral

The home of Mr Henry Yon is being doubly affected.  Death claimed little Willie, 6 yrs old Sunday

morning (June 24). The funeral was set for Monday morning, and as the parties gathered at the home for the

service they learned that Mrs Yon had given birth some 3 hrs earlier to a little boy & little girl, born

dead.  Thus there were 3 dead lambs.  The funeral services were deferred until noon and conducted

at the cemetery of the Presbyterian Church.
