Mar 8, 1944 A D Cosson died at his home on Thursday. Services were held at Baptist church on
Saturday, interment followed at Magnolia. He is survived by his widow, 2 sons, Cpl.
A D Cosson Jr, and Vernon Cosson, 2 brothers, one in Navy at Pensacola, and one
living in Akron, Oh.
1944 Mar 16 Lonnie Sharpe, long time resident of DeFuniak, whose death occurred at his home
in the East End were held at Methodist church on Wednesday, interment followed at
Magnolia Cemetery. Survivors are his widow and son William now with Armed Forces.
1944 Mar 30 Alvin Gillis, former DeFuniak resident died suddenly at his home in Orlando,
Monday. Mr Gillis son of Mrs Norman Gillis and brother to Miss Kate Gillis. Two
brothers live in Ohio, Willie C and Angus M. Gillis. Survivors are widow, 2 sons who
are in armed forces – Alvin Jr and Harold. Services were held in Orlando as was interment.
