George Alexander Brown [gravestone has Alexander G. Brown] 81, passed away Jun 17, at the residence of his son John Alex Brown in Freeport.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Walton. Services were held on Sunday June 19 from graveside in Almarant Cemetery in Laurel Hill. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Minnie Ola Brown, 3 daughters Mrs Bell Oliver, Mrs Jimmie Lou Adair & Miss Flora Brown; 4 sons, John Alex, Edward F, Floyd D and Dan Henry Brown; 3 brothers, R B, F T & O H Brown; one sister Mrs S A Dilley, 16 grandchildren & 6 gr grands. Mrs Juanita Kent Mears 38, passed away in Milton Jun 18. She was a native of Jackson Co. and made her home in Freeport. Services held Wednesday with burial in Hatcher Cemetery. Mrs Mears is survived by her mother, Maude Padgett Kent, one brother, John B Kent, 3 sisters, Mrs Laverne Kennion, Mrs Lois Hansford, and Mrs Lola Caswell. Mrs Duer Alford Pierce 60, passed away June 20. She was native of Walton and resided in Gaskin. Services were held in Gaskin with burial in the family cemetery on the Pierce farm.  Survivors are her husband, Harley Von Pierce, her mother Mrs Strammer Johnson.

Rev William Franklin Brannon 49, of Tucson Ariz died Saturday June 18 in Ariz hospital. A native of Ponce de Leon, he resided in Tucson for past 4 yrs. Services were held Friday with interment followed in New Ponce de Leon cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mrs Erin Brannon, 3 sons Howard, Calvin & Franklin, 5 daughters, Mrs Mavis Sturgull, Misses Mary Martha, Bricilla & Elizabeth Elaine Brannon; 3 brothers Alfred, Oscar & Aubrey Brannon; 7 sisters, Mrs Ella Hester, Mrs Ola Bearden, Mrs Nettie Grave, Mrs Dove Scalf, Mrs Cecil Thorpe, Mrs Avis Norris & Mrs Louis Dyle. Mrs Tempie Adeline Infinger 85, of Red Bay died Thursday Jun 23.  A native of Pt Washington, she lived most of her life in Red Bay. Services were held Saturday from the Black Creek Meth. Church with interment following in the church cemetery. She is survived by 4 sons; Wilbern, Phillip, Eugene & Hughey; 6 daughters, Mrs Izona Evans, Mrs Temple Hurst, Mrs Lena Chamberlain, Mrs Ada Ammons, Mrs Lottie Gomillion and Mrs Esther Hattaway; one sister, Mrs Mary Tarrance, 61 grandchildren, 33 gr grands & 8 gr gr grands.
